Pictures Finally!

Chanel posted more pictures from our crazy weekend 9/18 - 9/19. First off was Chuck E. Cheese for Mark's birthday party. My mom and grandmas just look THRILLED to be around all the screaming kids.
Allison loved every minute (well, except when the mouse came out).
Most of the kids there for the party...
And the adults...
Mark is such a cool little kid!
Then on to the Puyallup Fair. It was so crazy to just put Allison on a ride and stand back and watch. I was so worried she would freak out and try and get out of the seat. She did really good but drove her cousin crazy with all of her screaming...

Not my favorite picture...but Allison's cute! This picture makes me realize I need to start wearing my hair down more...maybe a haircut?
Anyway, I've found my camera...now I just need to start taking pictures again. Life has been crazy with sicknesses and family stuff...so hopefully things will settle down soon.

Follow-Up

This is a follow-up to my last post. Since I didn't take any pictures that crazy weekend I had to steal them from Chanel's blog.
This first picture is Chris, Chanel & I at my cousin's birthday party in Seattle. Doesn't Chris look thrilled? I have such a great husband - he HATES crowds and unknown places, but he has really been trying to go and do things with me even though it may make him uncomfortable. Isn't he sweet?
This next picture is when we jumped in the Satsop river after we went shooting....it was really cold.
After Stake Conference that Sunday we took a drive and ended up at the Steel Bridge....let's just say it was a little more intense when you're responsible for little children not falling off! I'm beginning to understand my mother's fear of heights more and more in my old age!

This last weekend was pretty crazy, too (I am REALLY slacking about taking pictures - hopefully Chanel will post some more I can steal). Last Friday we went to Chuck E. Cheese for Mark's birthday party - I can't believe that kid is FOUR. It was an awesome party except Allison hated the Chuck E. Cheese mouse. Which I have to say is a bit of a relief considering she was dying to have her birthday at Chuck E. Cheese in a couple weeks and now she's okay if we don't. Whew!

Saturday we went out hunting in the morning (I actually got my hunting license and was looking to get my first grouse - which didn't happen). In the afternoon my ENTIRE family plus Tim & Julie went to the Puyallup Fair. That was just plain insanity! My immediate family consists of 18 people, plus my Grandma, B, Tim & Julie - that's 22! Needless to say we weren't able to all go around the fair together - plus that place was CRAZY on a Saturday night. Once again Chris was awesome and came with us even though that many people made him nuts. We ended up only staying for a little bit and let Mark and Allison go on a few rides before we met up with most of the family and then left. Next year we will have to do the fair on a weekday for sure!

So once again we had an insane weekend packed with lots of fun. I'm waiting for one of those "relaxing" weekends I've heard so much about - but I just don't see that in my future!

Crazy Weekend

Well, I'm awake so I might as well update my blog, right? I woke up and found a hobo spider on my arm that I threw across the room, and now I can't sleep....just lovely! Time to bomb the house, I guess....yuck!

Unfortunately I really didn't take too many pictures this weekend, but I think Chanel did so I'll have to steal them off her blog if she ever posts them. Anyway, I have been really sick this week, and Friday morning I went to the doctor and found out I had an ear infection. I started the antibiotics right away (ear drops AND a pill), so I started feeling better pretty quickly.

During the day on Friday, Allison went with her babysitter's family to the Puyallup Fair. She had so much fun and I am in love with this picture of her on a horse. I loved it so much that I've already purchased her Halloween costume....she's going to be a Cowgirl...now I just need to get the pink cowboy boots! Friday night Chris and I went to my cousin's 30th birthday party at a Lounge in downtown Seattle with Kevin and Chanel. That was a lot of fun and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (well, at least I did and Chris enjoyed himself on the couch playing video games on my phone). We stayed at the party for a couple hours and then headed out and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory - yum! It was just a really fun night and the best part was not having to worry about the kids since they were all at my parents house. I have the best babysitters ever!

On Saturday morning Chris went hunting with his dad and I went over to my parent's house to pick up Allison. I did a little shopping and then Kevin, Chanel, Chris & I took the kids and went shooting with Daniel and Heather. That was a TON of fun and afterwards we stopped by the Satsop River and jumped in. We are crazy!

That evening Kevin & Chris took the kids so Chanel and I could go out with some girlfriends. We went to dinner, did some shopping and then had milkshakes....so much fun! I need more nights out like that for sure! Chris & I ended up just sleeping over at Kevin & Chanel's and then we all went to Stake Conference Sunday Morning.

For lunch on Sunday we ate at my parents house with my crazy huge family and then later that afternoon we went to a BBQ at Chris' Dad's house because his Aunt, Uncle and cousin were in town from Utah. We had a great time and it was good to be able to spend time with his family.

Sorry about the long blog post and almost no pictures! I just wanted to document our crazy and busy weekend. I sure didn't get to rest very much so I'm still not feeling well, but I will be back at work whether I like it or not tomorrow!

Hunter's Eduction

Chris and I have been married for over five years, and I am just getting around to taking Hunter's Eduction. It's been something I've been meaning to do for years, but it takes a bit of commitment since it's not just one class. It ended up being over 20 hours of my time spread over two weeks! I felt like I was NEVER home! I don't know that I'll actually hunt now that I technically can, but at least I have the option. Anyway, it's over now and here's my proof that I passed.

We had a "live fire" section of the class and I did pretty darn good - expecially compared to the boys in the class. The instructors were pretty impressed with the girls. I think I could have done a lot better, but I was trying to line up the sights exactly as they told me - at the BOTTOM of the black part when I should have ligned it up in the middle. Oh well, at least my groups are really good.

Watch out deer, here I come!

"Hunting"

A few people have been giving me a hard time about not updating my blog in the last couple weeks. The problem is, we just haven't been doing much (I'll explain in my next post why I've been so busy). But, we did go out for a drive one night and took Allison "Hunting". I don't know if you can actually call it hunting when you're out with a two-year-old. Anyway, I caught Allison signing her new favorite song. Enjoy!
